Love The Lord Ministries

In December, I traveled to the Philippines for ministry and a family reunion. Together with my wife, Nilda, and our daughter, Elisabeth, we began outreach work in an underserved and extremely impoverished community in Santa Rosa City, a densely populated suburb of Manila.
During our first outreach, we distributed food, treats, and small gifts to poor and needy children. This act of giving opened the door for us to share the Gospel, encouraging the children to place their hope in God and in the Kingdom of Heaven. The response was overwhelming. The children listened eagerly, and many opened their hearts to the message of God’s love.
Because of the impact of this first gathering, our ministry team—which includes my wife, our daughter, and three in-laws—has been invited to return regularly to teach and minister to the children.
Since our initial meeting just before Christmas, we have held three additional outreach events at the same location, with more planned for the future. Children are giving their lives to God, and the Lord continues to open doors for greater ministry works in this community. We are grateful to see God at work using us and are excited for what He will continue to do in Santa Rosa City. 

The Caingin neighborhood of Santa Rosa City is marked by extreme poverty. Trash lines the streets, and many families live in makeshift shanties constructed from scrap materials. Yet more striking than the conditions are the children—young lives searching for guidance, purpose, and hope.

Over the past several weeks, the Lord has enabled us to assemble a dedicated team of evangelists, translators, and teachers who share a burden to reach these children for Jesus Christ. Our heart is not only to preach the Gospel, but to help lead them toward a transformed life—one rooted in God’s truth and hope, with deliverance from the crushing effects of extreme poverty.

Each Sunday, we gather with a growing crowd of eager children to teach God’s Word. They come with open hearts, attentive ears, and a genuine hunger to learn about Jesus. It is a powerful reminder that even in the most difficult circumstances, God is at work, drawing young hearts to Himself.

Last Sunday, we were blessed to distribute fifty hot meals, along with treats and school supplies, to poor and needy children in the Caingin neighborhood of Santa Rosa City, Philippines. These simple gifts have become a powerful way to gather the children, open their hearts, and point them to Jesus Christ.

Through these outreaches, we are not only meeting immediate needs, but also creating consistent opportunities to teach the Word of God and share biblical principles that help children rise above the poverty surrounding them. Each week, we see greater hunger for the Gospel. The children are becoming more eager to attend, and several have even begun bringing their parents to our meetings.

What began as a small outreach is quickly growing into a true community ministry. We sense that God has given us a rare and timely opportunity to make a lasting impact—not just in the lives of individual children, but within entire families and this whole neighborhood.

Many of these children are at risk of being pulled down by difficult surroundings, yet through Christ, their future can be changed.
