Throughout the months of January and February, we continued holding evangelism outreaches in the Caingin Neighborhood of Santa Rosa, Philippines. After many consistent visits, we are beginning to see a true sense of community forming. What once felt like scattered gatherings is now growing into something deeper and more meaningful.

The Gospel message is taking root in this very troubled neighborhood. With each outreach, we see hearts softening and lives opening to the truth of God’s Word. There is a noticeable lack of strong, godly male leadership in the community, and many of the children are especially vulnerable. Yet in the midst of this need, we are witnessing something beautiful — children beginning to look to their Father in Heaven for guidance, strength, and identity.

After our service last week, I was especially encouraged to see several children linger, eager for more prayer, more teaching, and more encouragement in Jesus. We were grateful for the opportunity to pour into them. Moments like these remind us why we remain faithful in returning week after week.

The hearts and minds of this community are truly beginning to open to the Lord. We are excited about the positive direction we see emerging and the spiritual growth that is taking place. Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue to labor for Christ in Caingin. We believe the best is yet to come.

The Caingin neighborhood of Santa Rosa City is marked by extreme poverty, and many families face daily hardship. Our desire is to help them set aside their burdens, even briefly, and lift their eyes to God with hope and joy.

In February, we held a special Ice Cream Outreach that brought together about 70 people, mostly children. My wife, Nilda, joyfully served ice cream while sharing words of encouragement and direction. The Gospel was clearly preached, and the hope found in Jesus was lovingly presented.

We use simple acts of kindness like food and ice cream to draw people in, but our true purpose is always to point them beyond their circumstances and toward Christ. After several events with this group, we are seeing a lasting spiritual impact beginning to take root in many hearts.

In recent weeks, the Lord has also allowed us to build a dedicated team of evangelists, translators, and teachers who share a burden to reach these children. Our mission is not only to preach the Gospel, but to help lead them into transformed lives rooted in God’s truth and strengthened to overcome the effects of poverty through faith in Jesus.

On two separate occasions recently, we had the joy of preaching the Gospel to groups of precious Filipino children. It was a beautiful sight to see them gather together, hungry to listen and learn.

My daughter, Elisabeth, stood right in the center helping to bring the children together so they could hear the message. As I shared the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Lord moved in their hearts, and about ten children responded by praying a heartfelt prayer of forgiveness and dedicating their lives to God.

We are committed to lifting up this young generation and standing in the gap for them everywhere we go. It fills my heart with gratitude to see God using our entire family in ministry—working together to win souls and share His life-changing message.
